Located in Cohoes NY, we’ve been serving the communities of Albany County, Rensselaer County, Saratoga County and Schenectady County since 1931. At our Pharmacy, we believe that being a local independent pharmacy means providing healthcare services to our patients that are customized to meet their needs.
Started in 1931 by James V Marra after converting the family fruit and vegetable stand into a pharmacy. When Jim passed away suddenly in 1970, his daughter Barbara McDonald, a newly minted pharmacist took over while raising six sons with her husband John. Her eldest son John joined the business as a pharmacist in 1980 and is still there today working with the next generation of ownership with Pharmacy Manager Raghu Thota, Pharm D.
When James V. Marra established Marra’s Pharmacy he committed to one simple, sincere mission:
